Karaoke.co.uk is a website providing a service (“Site” and “Service”) owned and operated by Yousing Limited and provided to you within authorised establishments (“Venues”) by way of karaoke sessions (“Sessions”). ‘Karaoke.co.uk’ and ‘Yousing’ ("We" and “Us”) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This policy (together with our terms of use and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.  Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. By visiting www.karaoke.co.uk you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this policy.

Information we may collect from you

We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information you give us. You may give us information about you by filling in forms on our site www.karaoke.co.uk (our site) or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you register to use our site, subscribe to our service, search, place an order on our site, participate in discussion boards or other social media functions on our site, enter a competition, promotion or survey, and when you report a problem with our site. Where we store your personal data

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are solely responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Accessing your information

You may update or correct your personal information that we hold in the My Account section of our website.

If you wish to amend or delete personal information that we hold for you, we can do so at your request by contacting us and we require 28 calendar days from receipt of your request to process this. We may retain information already held to satisfy any legal obligations, prevention of fraud / criminal activities / abuse or for reasons where we believe that we have a legitimate reason to do so.

We may retain analytical data for our business use.

Your right to object – If we are using your data for reasons we deem necessary for our legitimate interests and you disagree, you have the right to object. Any such requests from you we will respond to within 30 calendar days. In some cases, this period may need to be extended dependent on the situation.

Your right to withdraw your consent – In instances where you have provided your consent to us to process your data for marketing, you can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.

Your right to request details on data that we hold about you – You have the right to ask us to confirm what information we hold about you at any time. You can also request that we alter, update or delete information.

Your right on erasure of your data – You have the right to request that we ‘erase’ your personal data. Upon such request we will respond within 30 calendar days and unless certain limited conditions apply, we will delete your data. We will typically presume that you would prefer that we retain your name on a register of people that do not wish to be contacted, this way we can reduce the chance of contacting you again in the future should your details be collected again in an unconnected manner. However, if you would prefer that we do not retain your name on a register, you are free to request that we do not.
